Myspace Basics
I get a lot of IM's, e-mails and messages regarding simple myspace codes. So here are some basic things you might be dying to know about myspace:
"Where'd you get those heart codes...or spades, or clubs...or diamonds?"
Yes, it's asked a lot, and it's simple! Let me show you:
♥ will get you: ♥
♠ will get you: ♠
♣ will get you ♣
♦ will get you ♦
I want to make a break in my lines...like, skip a line
Simply add <br> after any line.
For example...say if I wanted to make seperate lines for the following: Hi my name is Ashley.<br> I own whateverlife.com <br> I love making websites.<br>
It would actually look like:
Hi my name is Ashley
I own whateverlife.com
I love making websites.
=D
I want to add IMAGES to my heroe's, about me, interests, etc. section!
^ One of my most popular questions. Okay, so you want to add an image[s] to your myspace page?
1.) Go to ImageShack.us or TinyPic.com.
2.) Click on upload image[s], and search your computer for the image file name that you want to put in your website/myspace.
3.) When that has been uploaded, they will give you a simple link directly to the image.
4.) Copy the link that ends in ".gif" ".bmp" ".jpg" ".jpeg" ".png" etc.
5.) Use the following code: <img src="PUT YOUR LINK TO THE IMAGE HERE">
6.) Paste that into wherever you want the image to go! Good luck. Enjoy.
How do I center text?
So you want your text in the center like this?
<center>Your text</center>
Or try:
<div align="center">Your text</div>
I want to bold, italicize, and underline my text...
You want your text bold?
Try <b>Your bolded text</b>
Want your text italicized?
Try <i>Your italicized text</i>
You want your text underlined?
Try <u>underlined text</u>
I want scrolling text/pictures
Want something cool, like scrolling text or pictures?
Marquee Something! [makes text/pictures scroll]
<marquee> Your text/pictures here.</marquee>
Marquee Something! (See how it "alternates"...watch...it will hit the sides and bounce back! COOL HUH?!)
<marquee behavior=alternate>Your text/images here.</marquee>
This is the marquee scroll effect. It's pretty much the same thing, although you can make it direction itself.
<marquee behavior="scroll">Your text/images here.</marquee>
Marquee SLIDE
<marquee behavior="slide">Your text/images here.</marquee>
